Our Sanctuary

Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary (FFAS) is a safe place for abused and abandoned dogs and cats, providing health care, spaying/neutering, protection, warmth, care, and love while they await adoption.

Our 10.75-acre site is on Grace Church Road, off US 29 in south Salisbury, NC. Architect Jon Palmer designed our environmentally-friendly building and Summit Developers served as our General Contractor. Our dogs enjoy socialization and interaction in our outside fenced in dog area, just outside our kennel runs, while our cats enjoy roaming freely and have access to an outside screened sun porch.

We have been truly blessed by the enthusiastic support of all of our donors and volunteers. We receive no Federal, State or county funding – your generous donations, as well as countless volunteer hours, allow us to follow our hearts and foster, protect, adopt, and care for abused and abandoned animals in our community. The overwhelming support we receive has been astonishing, and Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary would not be possible without all of you.

Our Founder

Anne Ingram, revered founder of Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, left us with a legacy of love and care for animals. Her passion and energy were a driving force in establishing the Sanctuary and countless animals have benefitted from her work. The building, grounds and traditions are a tribute to her desire “…to lead a life of service” both to people and to animals. She rescued hundreds of homeless cats and dogs during her life. She thought dogs were “God’s ambassadors here on earth, and cats were sent to keep us humble.”

Mission Statement

Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, located in Salisbury, NC, is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit charitable organization that operates a no-kill sanctuary for homeless and rescued dogs and cats. Our mission is to rescue, spay and neuter homeless animals and provide them with the best medical care in a nurturing environment while working to find them forever homes. FFAS heals the whole animal, physically and emotionally, restoring its health and spirit.

We work to engage and educate our local community about responsible pet ownership and the importance of animal rescues/welfare by participating in community events, engaging schools, and offering camps and volunteer opportunities, with the end result being the best placement and care for our animals.

No-Kill
Philosophy

Our no kill philosophy is very simple. It means we give all the animals in our care the time, medical attention and behavioral training they need and deserve to thrive. Only the terminally ill, where quality of life is suffering, or extremely aggressive animals who have been evaluated as such by independent, certified trainers will be euthanized.
