Our Mission & Vision

Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, healing, and rehoming homeless dogs and cats in Rowan County. We provide our animals:

  • Medical care including spay/neuter, vaccinations, and treatment for illness or injury

  • Emotional support through socialization, enrichment, and behavioral training

  • Forever homes by carefully matching animals with loving families

  • Sanctuary for animals with behavioral or medical issues, making them unsuitable for adoption

Our vision is to create a community where every dog and cat has a safe, loving home, and people are educated about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.

We actively engage the community through:

  • Volunteer opportunities

  • School programs and camps

  • Local events and outreach

Mission Statement

Our mission is to rescue, spay and neuter homeless animals and provide them with the best medical care in a nurturing environment while working to find them forever homes. FFAS heals the whole animal, physically and emotionally, restoring its health and spirit.

No-Kill
Philosophy

Our no kill philosophy is very simple. It means we give all the animals in our care the time, medical attention, and behavioral training they need and deserve to thrive. Only the terminally ill, where quality of life is suffering, or extremely aggressive animals who have been evaluated as such by independent, certified trainers will be euthanized.
